Keen to be Green

Keen to be Green

You are probably well aware that Bristol has been designated the status of European Green Capital this year.  One event to help celebrate this is happening this Friday.  We are inviting children to take part in the Keen to be Green awareness day by coming to school wearing some item of green clothing.  There is no charge for doing this.

BBC Bug Hunt

Cabot Pupils were back at the BBC again last week. This time they were working with Mike Dilger from The One Show to carry out a Bug Hunt.  Children were investigating what creatures live in the BBC gardens as they are now so we can compare if there are more after the Living Classroom has been built.

Opening Ceremony

Today we celebrated the opening of our new extension and learning areas. The Lady Mayoress of Bristol cut the ribbon to declare us officially open.  Mr Glyn Berwick, our Chair of Governors, gave a speech, celebrating not only the improvements to our building but also the rise in standards and our recent GOOD judgement from Ofsted.  We know the new resources and learning opportunities will help us continue our improvement journey even further.

It was great to have so many parents come to help us celebrate along with community friends and ex staff members.  Days like these remind us what a joy it is to be part of the Cabot community.

The Bristol Post have given us some coverage of this event.
