Welcome Back to Cabot for Term 5
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to the new Term. I hope you were able to enjoy the weather and make the best of the sunshine. You may have noticed the building work has continued. We have entered the joining phase. The new section will soon be attached to the main building. This is causing us some disruption at the moment as the connection is being made through where the staff room and my office used to be. For Term 5 we have had to relocate the staffroom to the Community Room. We will still have PTFA meetings but they will take place in the school hall, or if the weather permits, outside! My temporary office is now by the main entrance gate, however, appointments to see me should still be made through the main school office.
Term 5 is a very important time for our Year 6 pupils. They will soon be taking their SATs. Miss Codling, Mr Ross and Mrs Redwood ran an Easter School through the holidays as additional support to help make sure children are supported as best as they can be. We were so pleased to see 23 out of our 26 Year 6 pupils attend. I am very grateful to staff and parents in helping make sure pupils are well supported and prepared for their tests.
Many of you have been asking about my visit to Pakistan. I will post some pictures on this blog as soon as possible. But I can share with you now that I found it a fantastic experience and very much enjoyed meeting such friendly and welcoming people.
Best Wishes

Pakistan Visit
As many of you know I will be spending the first week of the Easter Holidays in Pakistan. I will arrive in Islamabad where I will spend sometime visiting a school and seeing some famous sights. Thank you to all of you who have advised me what to see. The Faisal Mosque sounds very impressive. I look forward to sharing my photos with you when I return.
I will then travel on to Lahore where I will spend the rest of the week working in our partner school, Ayat Grammar School. I am taking work from Cabot children to share with children in Pakistan. This project will be a fantastic opportunity for children in different continents to learn more about each other. I am very much looking forward to my trip and learning about education in a different country.
I may not see you before I begin my travels so I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and peaceful holiday and a Happy Easter.

Spring Food Fair!
Dear Parents,
thank you for contributing to our fantastic PTFA Spring Food Fair. There was so much to enjoy. Well done Shakira and your team once again for bringing Cabot a fantastic event. it was a very fitting farewell to Miss Baker, who has worked so hard for Cabot in so many ways including supporting PTFA events. Although she has left us for now as a staff member we know she will always be a good friend to our School. We look forward to hearing reports of her adventures.
Thanks also to Miss Davies for arranging the Book Fair at the same time. We know our children love to read and it is a great thing seeing them so excited about choosing books.

School Dress Code
Dear
Parents,
From Term 5
we expect pupils to wear the clothing specified in the School Dress Code,
details of which are listed below. I have also highlighted items, amongst

more formally, details of which will be published in forthcoming school

If anyone has hardship difficulties
that are make purchasing the uniform difficult they should contact the school
