Carnival Time

It's Carnival on Saturday and as always, Cabot Primary School will be taking part. The costumes are ready and the children have been practising their dance (as have some teachers!) We look forward to seeing you at this fantastic event hosted by our St Paul's Community. Let's hope for good weather.

Summer Fair

Thank you to everyone who helped prepare, run a stall or join in the happy fun of the fair on Friday. We all had such a great time in the sun. Here are just a few pictures. Look out for more in the news section of the website later this week.

Visit from Mr Tahir

Dear All,
Our Connecting Classrooms project is going fantastically well this week. We are very happy to have Mr Tahir from Ayat Grammar School with us this week. He has been in the classes working with pupils and telling them all about his school in Pakistan. The children have been writing letters and sending work between the schools. This is a great opportunity for us all to learn about education in other countries. Thank you to all of you who came to meet Mr Tahir yesterday morning. He says he has been made to feel very welcome by the whole Cabot School Community.

Beautiful wild flowers

Dear All,

Our wild summer flowers are now all in bloom. They make such a beautiful additional to our outside space. As well as the range of exciting lunchtime activities we have on offer for children they can now also take a very pleasant wonder around the wild flowers. There is so much nature activity going on there too. Children have been enjoying searching for caterpillars and dragonflies as well as trying to identify cornflowers and poppies. We feel very lucky to be so close to nature in our urban environment.

Another Chess Win!

Dear All,

We celebrated another Chess win last night. That's our 2nd in two weeks. This time it was against our 4 Learning Partnership Schools, St Werburgh's, St Barnabas and Glenfrome. It was a great competition that was thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part. Well done all of you.

Best Wishes

Nursery Visit

St Pauls Nursery School & Children's Centre

Miss Pearce, Mrs Redwood and I had a lovely visit to St Paul's Nursery yesterday. It was very useful to see the children's learning diaries and gain a good understanding of how they are progressing so we can ensure they make the best possible start next year. We are very grateful to Nursery Staff and parents for making us feel so welcome.
